LEAP Billboard Unveiled in OK This Week- Volunteers Needed

Dear Supporter,

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition’s first-ever ad campaign kicked off with a billboard in Omaha, NE last July, and this week LEAP’s second billboard will be unveiled in Oklahoma City.  The billboard will read “Drug Abuse is Bad.  The Drug War is Worse.”

As a LEAP member, we need your help.  If you have access to a video camera and are available to record the billboard being put up, please email Kristin.daley@leap.cc .  The billboard will go up sometime between tomorrow, June 3 and Friday, June 5.  We will have a better idea of the exact time when we hear from the billboard company later today, so it may be fairly short notice.

With the unveiling of the new billboard, LEAP aims to call attention to the urgent need for a more effective and ethical drug policy.  The current state of the U.S. economy makes ending prohibition all the more pivotal.  Every year that the “war on drugs” continues costs U.S. taxpayers billions, despite the fact that 76% of all Americans believe it is a failure.

Again, if you are able to help, please let us know.  As always, thank you for your support of LEAP.
